Deeplinks

MeetMic registers the meetmic:// URL scheme, so you can trigger actions from other apps, scripts, the terminal, or web pages.

Open a transcription

meetmic://open?id=<transcription-id>

Example:

meetmic://open?id=AF760979-EB59-49E2-891B-ECAABACDCB43

If no transcription matches the id, MeetMic shows a "Not Found" alert.

Finding a transcription id

Use the Developer API to list your transcriptions:

curl http://127.0.0.1:52778/api/v1/transcriptions

Each item in the response includes an id field you can use to build the deeplink.
(The HTTP API must be enabled in Settings → API. Port 52778 is the default and can be changed there.)

Start a recording

meetmic://record

Brings MeetMic forward and starts a new recording. This is the same action the desktop widget and Lock Screen widget use.

Import a file

meetmic://import

Opens the file picker so you can choose media to transcribe.
Unknown ids are ignored.

Using deeplinks

  • Terminal: open "meetmic://open?id=AF760979-EB59-49E2-891B-ECAABACDCB43"

  • Shortcuts: use the Open URLs action.

  • Web pages / Markdown notes: link to the meetmic:// URL directly.

  • Other apps: any AppleScript, Raycast script, or automation tool that can open a URL.

Values in the query string must be percent-encoded if they contain spaces or special characters.
