Return the "New Audio" Button with System Audio Toggle

Feature Request

The fact that there is no option to record system audio means it won’t record system audio. This is a major problem and it completely loses its utility without it.

Also, it frequently crashes now on 1.27

    System audio recording still in the app, didn't go anywhere. UI got reorganized in 1.27:

    • Record Meeting button (two-people icon) — records system audio + mic automatically, designed for Zoom/Teams/Meet calls.

    • Record Memo button (mic icon) — opens recorder with "Record System Audio" checkbox in settings panel below the controls. Toggle on whenever you need it.

    So same functionality, just split across two entry points. If toggle harder to find than before - fair feedback, will look at making it more discoverable.


    On crashes on 1.27. Can you send a crash log (or steps to reproduce) so we can fix to support@quickwhisper.app

      I see now. I was using the record meeting button (which did not capture ssytem audio), but I like the fact that I can still use Record Memo with that verification. Maybe something has to be re-enabled in the upgrade? When I upgrade back to 1.27 I’ll send logs if it keeps crashing. In the mean time, I appreciate the fact that you have old builds available for download. Thanks for the quick response!
